Proposal passed at IRPA /ECoR/BBSR meeting for discussion at IRPA/Jodhpur meeting.

            (Sub:- Proposal passed at IRPA/East Coast Railway/ Bhubaneswar           
                       for discussion at Jodhpur meeting in connection with 7Th CPC)
A meeting was convened on 02.3.2014 at Bhubaneshwar with 16 Pharmacists representing from all the three Divisions of East Coast Railway including Head Quarters. The various problems being faced by the Railway Pharmacists have been discussed at length and arrived at the following resolutions which were passed unanimously and opined to be discussed at the Jodhpur meeting.:
 
      1)    The Pharmacists at all central govt. units (like Railways, CGHS, Postal and other originations.) should be united and strive hard for achieving the desired goals.                   
     2)    It has been proposed that the memorandum jointly with all other originations of central govt.   to be submitted to the 7 Th Central Pay Commission should be entrusted to a suitable agency for drafting the suggestions/proposals/demands of our category in a very emphatical manner.     
    3)    Amendment to the qualification of Pharmacists to that of graduation ( B.Pharm) at the entry point i.e., for appointment as a Pharmacist in any central govt. organization .   
    4)    There should be a bridge course for the in-service Pharmacists for updating their knowledge.
   5)    It has been demanded that the post of Asst. Pharmacy Officer should be allocated to each Division of concerned Zone including Hd. Qrs. and Central Hospital with promotional avenues like Sr.Pharmacy Officer, Deputy Pharmacy Officer etc. at par with the other Group B officers.
6)  Pay Scales for Pharmacists & Pharmacy Officer’s should be at par with the employees & officers having technical Degree/Diploma qualification.
   7) There should be our effort for getting uniform, washing and split-duty allowances with PCA/HPCA to all pharmacists and pharmacy officers as par with nursing personnel.
   8)    Steps should be taken to ensure that responsibilities and duties be shared on realistic manner between the Pharmacist and the Staff Nurse at the Health Unit level and in divisional level & Central Hospital same should be shared with other available  Gr. C staff.
    9)    Any other suggestion/proposal by the IRPA for better prospects of Pharmacist cadre will be highly appreciated and supported by this Zone with finance also.
  10) Similarly, any decision to be taken by the IRPA regarding the financial support to the Pharmacists of South West Railway in connection with the Court Case will be abided by this Zone in to-to.
