Sub: Submission of Memorandum of IRPA with regard to amend the existing manual and recommendation of the Pharmacist cadre for 7^th CPC-reg.

Respected Sir,  

With the reference to the above subject, we would like to submit few lines for your kind consideration and necessary favourable orders please.

This is to invite your kind attention and  request  you to consider following few points mentioned below.

It is learned that many Pharmacies in Indian Railways are run without the Pharmacist. As per the Pharmacy Act 1948, it is mandatory to run all the Pharmacies with the Registered Pharmacist to avoid the misuse of drugs and to maintain the potency of the drugs.

Wearing of the uniforms (Apron with green cross Mark with a name Plate) by the Pharmacist should be made mandatory to improve the image of the Medical Department and Pharmacist.

All the Dispensaries may be re-named as Pharmacy as per the Act.

Uniform duties to be amended throughout the Indian Railways to avoid the disparities among the Pharmacists.

In every Central and Divisional Hospitals  Clinical Pharmacy, Ward Pharmacy (Indoor), Pharmaco Vigilance and a Hospital Pharmacy to be implemented to provide quality and effective services to the Railway beneficiaries and educate them the effects of the medicines and rational use of the same.

In Indian Railways Pharmacist, being a HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL is working as more than the clerk rather than the Pharmacist. Hence, YOUR HIGHNESS is requested to kindly look into all the above mentioned subjects to redress the same with the full strength of Pharmacists please.

Amendment of Medical Manual:-

1.   The duties mentioned in the IRMM with regard to the Pharmacist cadre vide volume No:1 Page No: 7 Para 13, 14 and 15  may be considered to be amended  as per the professional duties.

Continuing Medical Education:-

Day by day ‘n’ number of newer molecules (drugs) are being launched in the Market, to refresh the knowledge of the Pharmacist the Continuing Medical Education Programme may be made mandatory through ZRTI of respective zones comprising educative modules with recommended schedule by DG/RHS for e.g. like ASMs, Guards etc., with Pharmacy Professionals.

For Seventh Pay Commission recommendation:-

        The Pharmacists are called as the Health Care Professionals, it is our sincere request from our association to please recommend for the Seventh pay commission for better pay scales with minimum  PB 2/GP of Rs.4800/- with promotional avenues up to the possible maximum level.

Hence, we request your good self to kindly consider the above mentioned paras for which act of kindness we shall remain ever grateful to you. On consideration of these things we can ensure the very effective services to the Railway beneficiaries.

Greetings

The Pharmacist day was celebrated in Central Hospital, HUBLI with a great unity and co-operation by all Pharmacists.

The program was organised in the lunch hour. 1PM the all the Pharmacists gathered and invited Dr Jayakumar Medical Director, Dr Mujahid I.B Adll Chief Healh Director, Dr B.T. Krishnareddy Sr DMOStores(Surgical), Dr D. C. Pradeep Sr DMO(Medical stores) & Mr Shanker Naik Pharmacy officer.

The Program was presided  by Mr Arunkumar. A. Ch Pharmacist, The guests were honored with Flowers.

About Pharmacist and how the Pharmacist day begin was briefed by  Mr Kishore P, Pharmacist.The invited guests shared their views. Vote of thanks was presented Mrs Alina Susanna George Pharmacist.

The program was concluded with a get-to gather lunch. And decided to celebrate PHARMACY DAY which is on 22nd OCT.

We are thankful to our dear General Secretary Mr Goverdhan for encouraging us.
